Metal and Glass

RECYCLE:

  • glass bottles

Empty aerosol containers, discard lids and rinse containers.


Paper and Cardboard

RECYCLE:

  • newspapers
  • cereal boxes
  • magazines
  • office paper
  • phone books
  • cardboard
  • junk mail

Cut down on junk mail by visiting the junk mail opt out program



Plastics

LOOK FOR THE NUMBER:

Most recyclers accept #1 and #2 plastics. Check with your local Solid Waste District to learn more.
Discard lids and rinse containers


Yard waste and Composting

Keep yard waste out of landfills. Call your local waste hauler to check on pick up schedules

Composting can dramatically reduce the volume of material a household sends to a landfill.


Electronics

Electronic devices can contain toxic chemicals. Take them to a recycling service where they can be reused or broken down into reusable parts.
