Community counseling centers. Do we need community counseling centers? Yes. Should community counseling centers be affiliated with hospitals? Yes. Do we need Chicago community counseling centers? Yes. Can dispensaries, primary health centers, or religious places be utilized as community counseling canters? Yes. Are people working at Chicago community counseling centers competent? No. This holds true as of Feb. 12, 2010. Do they need to upgrade their skills, knowledge, and competence? Yes. I had to design specific courses for them. My experience is that people working there come and go, move around, visit places, and document their activity for salary without understanding the issues and harms, or bringing remedies. At times, their malpractice and incompetence have inflicted further harms. |
