How to Find Out How Many Seats Are Left on Any Flight

Certain instances may require you to find out how many seats are available on a particular flight before you buy your ticket. If you need to travel on a certain airline, reach your destination by a certain time or have several passengers in the same party who want to be on the same flight, you may want to check and see how many seats are available on the flight. There are ways in which you can check and see if any seats are available on a particular flight.

Step 1

Visit a website that offers airline seating information such as SeatGuru.com.

Step 2

Locate the "Find the Seatmap for Your Flight" in the middle of the page.

Step 3

Search using the flight number by clicking on the drop down menu under "Airline name" to select the airline of the flight that you want to search. Enter the "Flight Number" in the designated field and click "Go" to see the seats available on the flight.

Step 4

Click on "Route" and search by selecting the airline name from the drop down menu. Enter the originating airport location under "From" and destination airport location under "To" in the designated fields. Enter the date of the flight and click "Go" to see the seats available on the flight.
